    Adam Hillary

    Partner and Managing Director

    Adam Hillary is the Managing Director of Certatech, and a founding board member.

    Adam is a professionally accredited Project Manager with seventeen years experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications, gained firstly as an officer in the Royal Corps of Signals of the British Army, and then in increasingly senior management roles in Australian and global technology and management consulting roles.

    Since 2001 Adam established a number of entrepreneurial technology businesses that formed the basis for the creation of Certatech. In 2006, Adam formed a team of the exceptional project management professionals whose leadership contributed significantly to the launch of Telstra’s Next G(tm) WCDMA network in October 2006. By focusing on behavioural capabilities of our staff, as well as professional and technical excellence, Certatech has gone from strength to strength under the guidance of Adam and the executive management team.

    Adam uses creativity and technical knowledge to solve problems and achieve agreed objectives. He is an accomplished leader with the ability to bring clarity and direction in times of crisis, a characteristic that is complemented by his capacity for dealing with complex dependencies between activities.

    Adam has a Diploma of Project Management, and is a graduate of The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He is an AIPM registered Project Manager (RegPM) and a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

    Margaret Lawrence

    Finance Manager

    Assisted by a bookkeeper, Margaret oversees all accounting records maintained by the business and is responsible for budgeting, cash flow management, financial report preparation and presentation to management and/or external entities and ensuring all taxation and statutory obligations are met.

    Margaret is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty years of accounting, taxation and audit experience. After commencing her career with a large accounting firm, (Arthur Young, then Ernst & Young), attaining Audit Manager level, she moved to a smaller accounting environment to provide accounting, tax and audit services to a variety of small to medium sized businesses. Several years ago she left to become the sole Company Accountant for a small number of related companies. This experience and the prospect of assisting a committed and enthusiastic company with its financial management, led Margaret to accept the position of Finance Manager with Certatech in 2007.

    Margaret joined Certatech when it had been operating for only 18 months and so assisted with the development of accounting systems and controls and the financial transition from a company to a trust structure. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to her work has allowed Margaret to deal with the myriad of financial challenges that a growing business presents.

    Mark Robinson

    Partner and Operations Director

    Mark has over 25 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry. In this time Mark has worked for tier one telecommunication service providers such as Telstra and Optus and for multinational vendors including Siemens, Nortel and Ericsson.

    Mark has worked in hands-on technical roles across multiple technologies and in management roles both locally and internationally providing him with a well-balanced understanding of technologies and people management.

    Mark is currently the Operations Director which covers Business Operations, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions.

    Peter Grigg

    Sales Director

    Peter is a very experienced senior Executive with over 35 years of experience in the Australian telecommunications industry. After starting his career at Telecom Australia / Telstra and undertaking a wide range of roles across that organisation, Peter has since held a number of senior Sales & Marketing roles in the IT & T industry. Peter has been a part of Certatech since the start of mid-2009.

    Peter is an energetic and highly motivated Sales Director with significant experience in building and leading high performance teams in the information technology and telecommunications market. He is also CEO of a Joint Venture (NovaInTec) that Certatech owns with Nova Incepta (Europe) and the CEO. He has extensive experience in selling to the CxO customer layer, further enhanced by senior executive roles within Telstra, including significant exposure to the main Board. A demonstrated record in relationship building, negotiation and facilitation with customers and alliance partners. He has a strong focus on meeting customer needs, whilst balancing team management and stakeholder requirements.

    Peter holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting from Monash University, and has also completed a number of Sales Excellence and Leadership courses, including at the London Business School.

    Joe Aglieco

    Partner and Sydney Branch Manager

    Joe has over 15 years experience in Information Technology and Telecommunication industries. He has successfully delivered many large and complex programs containing multiple streams of work, including engineering, network, IT and business initiatives.

    During his career, he has managed and implemented strategic business initiatives for organisations, as well as managed business and program activities that require new modes of operations for complex projects post implementation. Before Joe joined Certatech, he worked for companies such as SingTel Optus, Motorola and Telstra.

    Joe has managed large teams to deliver business initiatives from conception to development and integration, and make the initiatives operational. Joe’s capability to deliver projects comes from his leadership, ability to manage scope and his approach to proactively managing risks.

    Joe has strong program management skills, excellent stakeholder management skills translating program activities into commercial realities. He has the ability to deliver business outcomes and projects ensuring best return on investment. Joe is very business focused and has demonstrated strong leadership as well as technical and commercial acumen.

    Joe has a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management.

    Pam Dennis

    Business Support Manager

    Pam has been at Certatech since January 2009. Her strengths lie in her ability to work under pressure, multi-task and cut through uncertainty to get results. Pam works across the Certatech business to support all of our teams and staff.

    Pam has spent 32 years in Secretarial, Personal Assistant and Executive Assistant roles. During that time , apart from all the tasks involved in managing an Executive of a company, her roles have crossed over into Office Management, Events Management and Office relocations. Pam has worked for companies such as Telstra, HP, Standard Chartered Bank, Cadbury Schweppes, and BP Australia.

    Pam spent five years as Owner / Franchisee of 3 sporting retail stores. During this time she also juggled family life with two small children.

    Pam’s biggest achievement to date is her most recent success at Certatech in obtaining our Quality Management System Certification across three sectors: Quality, Safety and Environment.

    Pam holds a Diploma of Management.

    Manie is Executive Director and is responsible for Certatech’s Telstra Business.

    Manie is a skilled, experienced and accredited Program Manager with over 15 years local and international experience, and held senior Program and Project Management as well as senior Engineering roles with Telkom South Africa, PQ Networks and Nortel before he joint Certatech.

    Manie has an extensive track record in the successful delivery of large and strategically important programs and projects. He uses his leadership, interpersonal skills and his knowledge and experience in the effective application of program and project management tools, practices and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.

    Manie holds a B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering and a B.Com Hons degree in Business Management. He is a Professional Engineer and a registered Project Manager (Reg.PM) at the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

    Nick Martin

    Nick is a senior project manager with over 10 years of experience in the Australian telecommunications industry. After starting his career at Nortel, Nick has been a part of Certatech since the start of 2006. Following a number of significant project management roles delivering network infrastructure projects, Nick has held senior program management roles with operators and vendor organisations alike.

    After starting his career as a wireless network design engineer, Nick’s experience includes engineering, customer support, product marketing and program management. Nick has a proven track record of delivering strategic projects under challenging conditions. He has proven his excellent interpersonal skills and is adept at managing stakeholders, team members, customers and vendors.

    Nick holds Bachelors degrees in Computer Engineering and Political Science. He has also completed a Diploma in Project Management and is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Managers.

    Richard Law


    Richard is a Partner and Program Manager at Certatech, providing leadership and mentoring to his surrounding team and junior associates. Richard works directly with client project teams and also identifies and advises on new technology initiatives.

    Richard has a technical engineering background, starting his career at Telstra as a radio engineer. Richard went on to join Nortel Networks as part of their Global Trials team, working overseas for 2 years. On his return to Australia in 2006, Richard joined Certatech and program managed the Core Network build for Next G. As a direct result, the Next G network was launched successfully less than 12 months later. Richard has continued to work closely with Telstra, managing core upgrades to Next G to achieve world first 21Mbps and 42Mbps services.

    Richard has a high-energy leadership style with strengths in logical thinking, problem solving, stakeholder management and attention to detail. Richard holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Information Technology and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1st Class Honours), and a Diploma of Project Management.

    Tim Bates

    Partner and Project Manager

    Tim is an experienced and energetic project manager, leading the analysis, planning, establishment, execution and closure of cutting edge telecommunications projects. Tim consistently delivers successful outcomes on time and on budget for Certatech’s clients.

    Tim specialises in project and program governance structures, leadership and management (PMI, PRINCE2, AGILE), planning and delivery, stakeholder management and communications. When required, Tim applies his considerable skills in project audit and assessment, stabilisation and recovery to ensure the best possible outcomes for the client organisation.

    As a project leader, Tim’s strength is in establishing clear and simplified processes and mobilising his team to deliver. Tim maintains focus on delivering a high quality outcome that exceeds customer expectations. At the same time he ensures his team is motivated and rewarded and that the project is delivered on time and within budget.

    Tim holds Bachelors Degrees from the University of Melbourne in Engineering (Hons) and Commerce.

    Tim Wilson

    Partner and Training Manager

    Tim is a Partner and Training Manager at Certatech, working with clients to design and deliver training that ensures the overall success of each project. Tim has a background in instructional design, technical communication, business analysis and team management in the IT and financial services industries.

    Tim specialises in defining and delivering large and complex training programs, incorporating vendor-supplied training, custom-built training, elearning, face-to-face and web-based facilitation, performance support documentation and other learning resources.

    Tim draws on his communication, instructional design and leadership skills to consult with work groups and project stakeholders, capture learning requirements, and work with vendors, instructional designers and project stakeholders to deliver a training solution that meets the client’s timeframes, budget and operational requirements. Tim has an open and collaborative style that leverages the skills, experience and creativity of the entire project team.

    Tim holds a Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, and is completing a Diploma of Management.
